Akalyeb Evans’ college career has come to an end.

The Missouri defensive back announced on Thursday evening on his Twitter account that he will declare for the NFL Draft.

Evans originally played for Tulsa, where he spent 4 seasons. He totaled 82 tackles in his time with the Golden Hurricane. Following the 2020 season, he entered the transfer portal, choosing Mizzou over Notre Dame. In his lone season with the Tigers, he registered 28 tackles and 6 pass deflections.

“To my family, ever since I was in fourth grade you believed I could reach my NFL goal,” he wrote. “You never doubted me. Always held me accountable. Most importantly, you taught me to keep God first and to use my life and platform to make a difference in the world.”
