Darius Robinson, a major part of Missouri’s defense, is set to make his return to the field on Saturday against LSU, per On3’s Matt Zenitz.
Robinson has been a key member of Mizzou’s defensive front, making 13 tackles and 2.5 tackles for a loss. His last game was against Memphis on Sept. 23, where he was credited with 2 tackles and 1.0 sacks. In 2022, he finished with 35 tackles and 5.5 TFLs; despite being draft-eligible, he decided to return for a final year of eligibility.
Mizzou is in the midst of its best start since 2023, currently sitting on a 5-0 record. It defeated Vanderbilt 38-21 during Week 5. Meanwhile, LSU is 3-2 following a offensive slugfest at Ole Miss which it lost 55-49.
It’s the first time the 2 teams have met since 2020: Mizzou won that one, 45-41. Altogether, it’s just the 4th time they have played each other on the gridiron.
Kickoff in Columbia is set for noon ET and will be televised on ESPN.
The current belief is that Missouri standout defensive lineman Darius Robinson will be able to play against LSU today after missing last week due to an injury, a source tells @on3sports.
