Missouri lands 2021 commitment from Florida LB/DE

Eliah Drinkwitz’s Missouri Tigers appear to have some momentum on the recruiting trail. Mizzou landed its second defender this week with a pledge from Rockledge (Florida) linebacker/defensive end Zachary Lovett.

Lovett, a 3-star prospect, announced his commitment Friday via his Twitter account. The 247Sports Composite grades Lovett as the No. 31 inside linebacker, though his current position is listed as outside linebacker. Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch describes him as a linebacker/defensive end commitment for the Tigers. Lovett is listed at 6-2, 210 pounds and rated the No. 97 recruit out of the Sunshine State and No. 716 prospect overall in the 2021 class on the Composite.

Lovett has 8 other scholarship offers, including Georgia Tech, Kansas, Miami, Purdue and West Virginia. He is commitment No. 13 for MU’s 2021 class. His highlights and commitment announcement can be viewed below:
