Missouri is losing a veteran member of its offensive line group to the transfer portal.
Senior tackle Bobby Lawrence announced on social media Thursday that he has entered the portal as a grad transfer. After spending 5 seasons with the Tigers, Lawrence will have just a single season of eligibility remaining.
After reflecting over my options for the past few months I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a grad transfer with one year left of eligibility. Thank you to my family and friends for all their support and I am looking forward to see where this takes me! pic.twitter.com/ZeZGbcXae0

A 6-foot-9, 321-pound offensive lineman, Lawrence has been a reserve and spot starter for Mizzou since taking a redshirt year in 2018. He played in 4 games in 2019, starting against Southeast Missouri. In 2020, he played in 9 games while making starts at left tackle against Tennessee and LSU in back-to-back weeks in October.
As a junior, Lawrence appeared in 10 games and earned a November start at right tackle against South Carolina. Last season, he saw action in all 13 games but received the second-fewest offensive snaps of any Mizzou lineman.
Missouri signed 2 tackles from the freshman class this past cycle as well as Eastern Michigan transfer Marcellus Johnson. The Tigers also bring back their top blocker from a season ago in left tackle Javon Foster
Derek Peterson does a bit of everything, not unlike Taysom Hill. He has covered Oklahoma, Nebraska, the Pac-12, and now delivers CFB-wide content.
