Prospect visits are on hold and coaches are off the trail, but college football recruiting marches on during the coronavirus outbreak. On Friday, Missouri added a dual-threat quarterback to its 2021 recruiting class with Tyler Macon’s pledge.

Out of East St. Louis (Illinois), Macon is listed at 6-feet, 180 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 19 dual-threat quarterback, No. 21 Illinois product and No. 616 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. In addition to Mizzou, he holds eight other scholarship offers, including Vanderbilt, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

Macon is the first quarterback commitment in Mizzou’s 2021 class. The Tigers now have four pledges on board for 2021. Prior to the addition of Macon, the class was ranked No. 38 nationally and No. 9 in the SEC on the Composite. It is now ranked No. 25 nationally and No. 8 in the SEC. Macon’s Composite score of 0.8577 is the highest of the four 2021 commits. His highlights can be viewed below:
