Missouri puts 'blinders on' in new hype video ahead of Vanderbilt
Missouri is doing its best to not overlook Vanderbilt as it suddenly finds itself atop the SEC East as the only team without an SEC loss.
“It doesn’t matter if we’re playing here or in Nashville, wherever the game is, if we’re playing in a parking lot,” coach Barry Odom said in the hype video. “If you prepare and have the right mindset, you eliminate everything outside, put blinders on, and you go to work.”
Missouri has a lot of momentum thanks to its winning streak, which is now up to 5 games. The offense also has a streak of 11 straight games that Mizzou has scored at least 31 points, dating to last season.
It’s been a season of spreading the production around, as last week showed.
RBs Larry Rountree III, Dawson Downing and Tyler Badie all got in on the fun. Rountree rushed 21 times for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Downing, a former walk-on, carried six times for 70 yards and a touchdown, including a 54-yarder. Badie caught 3 passes for 69 yards and a TD.
The defense has played well, too. The Ole Miss game (27 points) is an outlier as the Mizzou defense has allowed an average of fewer than 12 points in the past 5 games (7, 0, 14, 10).
Put blinders on and go to work.

I’m always up for game time, but it has nothing to do with the “hype videos”.
I guess it’s a matter of “everybody does them, so we have to do them”. (Herd mentality.)
“everybody does them”… “it’s for the children(recruiting” etc etc…
Thank god Wyoming isn’t in the SEC east.
With every victory the stakes get larger.
This one is on time and on target.

Tigers vs Tigers in Atlanta… let’s make it happen.
Nice video. Well done. Hype videos are assignments done by students in video and broadcast journalism. They have no evil intent, just students doing videos for a grade or for kudos. I say kudos.
What course is that part of? Sensationalism 101?

Yeah, I don’t understand why people get mad about hype videos and uniforms. Mizzou actually gives a damm about their fans and they put in some effort to get people excited about the game. If you don’t like it, feel free to move along and let others enjoy it.
I’m keeping you from enjoying it?
Wow, your even an a$$hole to other Mizzou fans.
You’re not keeping me from enjoying it. But you seem to insinuate that they shouldn’t exist simply because you don’t enjoy them. Fans dont need hype videos, they’re just meant to be entertaining and to build excitement while we wait for the real thing. It’s like party favors, they’re not necessary but it’s a nice touch and shows you went the extra mile.

“Your” an ignoramus. But I give you credit for knowing your a$$ from a hole in the ground: it’s the one your boyfriend goes for.
@TigerTD
Were you really “entertained and excited” by this one? (I wasn’t.)
Tiger TD = 100%
I have a hard time appreciating the statement that we haven’t lost an SEC game. we should play some first. 2 is not much of a sample size. Yes I know we won so many in a row but last year’s games don’t count towards this season. But if we roll in the Athens and that statement still holds true and by all means use it use it all the time. Maybe get into their head a little bit. Show up with some Swagger. But right now it means little.
Great post.
If Mizzou learned anything from the Wyoming game, this one will be over quickly. “Respect all opponents, but fear none.”
Prepare for Vandy just like you would Georgia and play with confidence at Georgia just like at Vandy.

Now that’s a good post, right there.
Amen.
Well this didn’t age well…
Mizzou put blinders on, then went to Nashville and forgot to take blinders off.
