Missouri is re-tooling its defensive coaching staff, and the Tigers have reportedly reached into the Big Ten to hire Indiana defensive line coach Kevin Peoples, Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports reported.

People has coached the last 2 seasons at Indiana, but is a 28-year coaching veteran with previous stops at Tulane, Georgia Southern, UAB, Arkansas and Arkansas State.

The defensive line coaching position at Missouri has seen plenty of turnover recently. Brick Haley left after the 2020 season, and Jethro Franklin was fired as defensive line coach early in the 2021 season and replaced by analyst Al Davis.

Missouri is also looking to fill the role vacated by defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison who stepped down from his role, but will remain with the program in a currently undefined role.
