Missouri will face Ohio State on Dec. 29 in the Cotton Bowl at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

The Tigers are looking for their first bowl win under Eli Drinkwitz, while Ohio State will look to improve on its woeful effort against the SEC all-time, which is 2-12.

The Tigers are ranked No. 9 in the latest College Football Playoff ranking, while the Buckeyes are No. 7.

ESPN host Rece Davis called Eli Drinkwitz one of the more entertaining coaches in college football.

Joey Galloway on ESPN said he was impressed with Missouri’s season as the Tigers (10-2, 6-2 SEC) had its best regular-season record since 2014. Galloway noted how the Buckeyes are hurting after the loss to Michigan in The Game, but the question remains, can the Buckeyes rebound in the bowl?

Because of Missouri’s strong season, the Tigers put themselves into an elite bowl position, and after the SEC Championship result, were in the mix with Georgia and Ole Miss for the New Year’s 6 bowls.
