Kyle Krantz, a special teams analyst at Missouri, is expected to be hired at Liberty by Jamey Chadwell to be the Flames’ special teams coordinator.

Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported the news, as Krantz comes with Power 5 experience as a special teams coordinator previously at Washington State and South Carolina.

Krantz, who was a graduate assistant at Kentucky, was on Will Muschamp’s South Carolina staff all 5 seasons. He started as a defensive analyst and was promoted to an on-field role in 2018. He served as the special teams assistant while coaching the Nickels and the SAM linebackers for two seasons (2018-19). In 2020, Krantz served as the Gamecocks’ special teams coordinator while also assisting with the defensive backs.

Before South Carolina, Krantz spent the 2015 season as a defensive analyst on Gus Malzahn’s staff at Auburn. He also worked with Muschamp at Florida where he was in charge of quality control for the offense in 2013, working primarily with the wide receivers, and for the defense in 2014.
