Missouri unveils new TOPGUN helmets for Florida game
OK, any uniform reveal that includes a portion of the soundtrack from “Top Gun,” we’re in!
Missouri unveiled new-look TOPGUN-themed helmets for Saturday’s game against the Florida Gators. This past Monday, our wonderful veterans were celebrated on Veteran’s Day, and the Tigers will honor them again Saturday.
Missouri will wear white pants with black jerseys, along with the white helmets. The helmets will include a replica TOPGUN patch, Missouri-colored national insignia found on every U.S. military aircraft and numbers on the helmet representing the area code of each player.
Missouri hosts Florida Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET on CBS Sports.
Here’s the reveal:

Missouri shared images from the helmets via Twitter:
Those are cool
Indeed, ultimately the Uni’s will be the best thing on the field for Mizzou this sat. At least we have our priorities straight.
Military style helmets should tweak the triggers of the diaper wearing campus crybaby protesters.
I’m all for that.
Agreed. Anything that honors our country and those who serve and served is great. Very cool look. If these crybabies had been around during the big wars, we’d be speaking German. Protesting is all they know. A tour of duty on the front lines would serve them quite well.
I think the snowflakes on campuses across the country avoid the military appreciation games. These are cool helmets.
Anyone else notice that the 352 on the side of their helmets is the Gainesville area code?
“numbers on the helmet representing the area code of each player.”
I sure did, lol.
I dig it. Hopefully will piss off the snowflake protestors on campus as well.
Kudos Mizzou
Hopefully the U.S. Navy won’t have a problem with this. I can just hear the Navy Chief of Staff on Saturday …”What’s this? They told us Florida wanted to wear the Navy helmet!”
My only problem with it, is that the Navy has a service Academy. And that Academy plays great football in the same division with Missouri. Respectfully, I think you avoid using somebody else’s rightful claim to fame. Having the Whiteman Air Force Base. (70 miles west of Columbia,MO) fly a Stealth Bomber over the stadium isn’t as much identity theft. Personally I always liked it when the A-10 Thunderbolt warthogs flew over during practice. What a great fighting aircraft that is. And I hope everybody got to see the late Senator John McCain grill the Air Force in front of Congress when they wanted to retire that fighter without any replacement to protect ground troops.
Some of the coolest helmets I’ve seen. Hopefully they will offend all the bed-wetting, “woke” libtards on campus.
Maybe they should have put the Air Force and Army on the helmit also, obviously they needed more help
Didn’t help.
