Eliah Drinkwitz’s Missouri Tigers added a Georgia athlete to its 2022 recruiting class. Boyton Cheney out of Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Georgia tweeted a commitment announcement Thursday afternoon.

Cheney shared a photo in a white Mizzou uniform and a note that read as follows:

“I am happy to announce that I have officially verbally committed to the University of Missouri to further my education and football career. I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates for pushing me to be where I am today. I can’t wait to play football at Mizzou and live out my dream of playing in the SEC! Go Tigers”

Cheney does not have a star rating. Cheney’s 247Sports recruiting profile lists 3 scholarship offers from Mizzou, Division II Notre Dame College and NAIA MidAmerica Nazarene. 247Sports lists Cheney among Missouri’s 17 commitments with scholarship offers.
