Mizzou announces plans to resume in-person classes this fall
As we face uncertainty about the 2020 college football season amid the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some certain stipulations some people in charge would like to have.
One big issue seems to be about students on campus. It seems there isn’t much interest in starting the season without students being allowed back at school in-person.
Well, on Wednesday, Mizzou announced that it is currently planning on resuming in-person classes this fall. Here’s the tweet with the news:

Obviously, this is just a tentative plan right now, but this is certainly good news for college football (as well as for students getting back to school).
Things can certainly change, but for now, we’ll take this as a positive sign.
Some Good News for a change…hopefully the current situation has abated to a great extent & classes can resume in the Fall. I remember returning to classes for the Fall Semester & I was excited…weather cooling a bit and Football Season too !
Good for them. We have to mitigate risks and get back to life. The slow death we are seeing of our economy and financial security is far worse than the realities of COVID-19. I understand it is serious and I understand you can die from it but I also understand that the majority of healthy adults under the age of 65 do not even require a hospital visit. My company has operated through this crisis with over 100 employees in one building and only 1 COVID case…this can be done people.
33bulldog…Great Point ! it is true that the under 65 group w/no major pre-existing conditions move thru this thing alright & most workers are under age 65. The economy has to be restarted.
Won’t be no football unless they do come back……
Dweeb
Missouri just saved college football in the SEC and the SEC just saved college football in the USA. And more people will catch H1N1 by far than COVID-19 between now and Dec. 2020.
As a society we should be more careful about all infectious diseases but we shouldn’t stop all group gatherings for ‘this’ virus. Sadly those over the age of 65
may still want to stay away from crowds till the C-19 fades or until a vaccine can be developed.
Go Mizzou ! SEC Football in the Fall !
This statement, though optimistic and hopeful, doesn’t mean much. Positive thinking and all, but it means nothing unless they have started testing in much greater numbers and we truly have a grip on this virus. If infectious disease experts don’t give the thumbs up, I don’t see many Universities following through with in person classes and stadiums full of fans is really not likely. I really hope they have this figured out, I want to see the new Tiger team in action.
