Mizzou announces punishment for Jordan Barnett following DWI arrest
Early Saturday morning, senior F Jordan Barnett — the Missouri Tigers’ second-leading scorer — was arrested for suspicion of DWI.
That was poor timing, to say the least, as the Tigers were gearing up to see where they’d be seeded in the NCAA Tournament.
Now, coach Cuonzo Martin has announced Barnett’s punishment, saying on Sunday that he’d be suspended for the Tigers’ first NCAA Tournament game against Florida State on Friday:
Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin says Jordan Barnett is suspended for Friday’s game against Florida State. He can practice and travel.

Martin added that Barnett could potentially return if the Tigers beat the Seminoles and advance to the second round:
If Missouri wins its first-round game, Jordan Barnett will be eligible to play in the Tigers’ second-round game.

Barnett will obviously be rooting for his teammates extra hard now, as he would love to be able to take the court at least one more time as a Missouri Tiger.
