Mizzou announces sophomore DL is no longer with the football program
Just when it looked like Mizzou’s defensive line was going to get a boost, things ended up going the opposite way.
Sophomore DE Trajan Jeffcoat, who had missed the first four games of the season with an elbow injury, was practicing this week.
However, just before the game against Troy on Saturday, Mizzou announced that Jeffcoat was no longer with the team and no longer enrolled at the university:
Statement from MU: Trajan Jeffcoat is not presently enrolled at Mizzou and will not be with the football program for the remainder of the season. In consideration of privacy rights, we will not comment further on this matter.

What exactly happened remains to be seen, but it doesn’t sound like Mizzou will be providing any additional information.
Last season, Jeffcoat appeared in all 13 games, recording seven tackles and one sack in his limited action.
