Mizzou basketball got some huge news Friday when 4-star prospect Aidan Shaw announced on CBS Sports HQ that he’ll be heading to CoMo for college.

Shaw is a 6-foot-8 small forward from Stanley, Kansas, rated the No. 53 overall recruit on the 247Sports Composite. Shaw stated that what he really liked about potentially playing for Cuonzo Martin was the consistency in how he was recruited by him.

“Their consistency with really me making me a priority for them I felt like they really want me over there,” Shaw told 247Sports. “I like coach Martin; he’s been in contact with me well really all the coaching staff especially him and coach Hollender have been contacting me since they started recruiting me in ninth and tenth grade. We have a relationship built and I feel like I can get it done there.”

Shaw also gave insight into the type of player he can be for Coach Martin and his staff.

“I’m a coachable player who is an all-around defensive and offensive player,” said Shaw. “I’m going to really work hard. Over time the basketball IQ that comes with playing the game more and more I’ll be able to see the game and analyze things on the court better and that will take me to the next level. Also improving my dribbling and being able to do what I want to with the ball will really help me.”

Shaw is the second player that has chosen Missouri from the class of 2022. Christian Jones from St. Louis also committed to the Tigers recently.
