Mizzou beat writer Dave Matter noted that Elon is coached by Mike Schrage, who was an Ohio State assistant when Watson initially committed to the Buckeyes.
A native of St. Louis, Watson started only six games in his three seasons at MU and made only one start during Mizzou’s most recent two seasons. He averaged 1.8 points per game this season and 4.8 points for his career.
