After two seasons at Mizzou, Tigers linebacker Z’Core Brooks is reportedly looking at continuing his college football career elsewhere.

Rivals reports that Brooks has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Brooks is not listed on Mizzou’s 2021 roster. His bio on the 2020 roster notes that he redshirted in 2019 after playing in the Tigers’ win over Southeast Missouri. Rivals states Brooks did not record a statistic in 2020.

Coming out of Woodrow Wilson High School, Brooks was rated 3-stars, the No. 72 weak-side defensive end, No. 153 recruit in Texas and No. 1,183 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite. Brooks chose Mizzou over eight other scholarship offers, including Oklahoma State and Purdue.

Players are allowed to leave the transfer portal and return to the team, though Brooks’ absence from the online roster indicates he’ll be leaving Eli Drinkwitz’s program.
