Missouri has identified its next offensive coordinator as the Tigers look to replace former OC Bush Hamdan, who last month left for Boise State.

Pete Thamel of ESPN reported that Missouri is finalizing a deal to make Fresno State OC Kirby Moore the school’s next offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. He was the OC/QB coach and play caller for Fresno State’s Mountain West champion this year.

Moore was part of the Fresno State coaching staff since Jeff Tedford initially hired him as the wide receivers coach in 2017. The 2022 season was his sixth season on the staff.

Fresno State was No. 53 in the country in total offense this season as it averaged 402 yards per game, and in scoring offense, Fresno State was No. 49, at 30.6 points per game.

In 2021, the Bulldogs amassed over 4,000 yards through the air for just the fourth time in program history, totaling 4,247 yards on the year, according to his Fresno bio. The Bulldogs were led by two all-conference selections in Jalen Cropper (second team) and Josh Kelly (honorable mention). Fresno State had two wide receivers selected as all-conference caliber players for two consecutive seasons under Moore as the position coach.
