Mizzou’s 2025 recruiting class took a hit right before the Early Signing Period begins.
Lamont Rogers, an offensive lineman out of Texas, took to social media on Monday to announce he is no longer committed to play for the Tigers. Mizzou is down to 16 verbal commitments for a 2025 class that ranks No. 19 nationally on the 247Sports Composite.
After many thoughts, prayers and conversations with my family I have decided to decommit from the University of Missouri. I’d like to thank the Missouri staff for the opportunity and thank you B. Jones and M. Bland for your mentorship over the years.

Out of Mesquite (Texas) Horn High School, Rogers is listed as measuring over 6-6 and 311 pounds. On the Composite, Rogers is rated 5-stars, the No. 5 offensive tackle, No. 9 player in the state of Texas and No. 26 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.
Rogers picked up scholarship offers from 37 programs during his recruitment. He took May and June visits to Mizzou, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M before verbally committing to Eli Drinkwitz’s program on July 6. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee and USC are among the other programs that showed interest.
The Early Signing Period begins Wednesday. Rogers is expected to stay closer to home and still play in the SEC. 247Sports shows 2 experts’ Crystal Ball predictions for Rogers to sign with the Aggies.
