Of all the talented receivers to come through Mizzou in recent years, perhaps none have been as dynamic as former star Jeremy Maclin, who went on to a solid NFL career.

Now, the Tigers are targeting another member of the Maclin family — his cousin, Jay Maclin, a 3-star 2020 receiver out of St. Louis.

According to the younger Maclin’s Twitter page, he was recently offered a scholarship from coach Barry Odom and the Tigers:

According to the 247Sports rankings, Maclin is the No. 84 receiver in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Missouri.

Keeping top players from Missouri in-state is going to be critical for Odom’s success in the coming years. After whiffing on a number of top prospects in the 2018 class, the 2019 and 2020 classes are now even more important.

Maclin currently has offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona State, New Mexico and Iowa State, and more are sure to come in the next few months.
