Missouri is on the board for the 2024 recruiting cycle. Xavier Atkins, a linebacker out of Jonesboro, Louisiana, announced his pledge to Eli Drinkwitz’s Mizzou program Saturday on his Twitter account.

Last month, Atkins shared that Blake Baker extended a scholarship offer on the day he was announced by the Tigers as a defensive assistant. Baker is reportedly being promoted to defensive coordinator.

Atkins, who is listed at 6-1, 193 pounds does not yet have a star rating from On3, Rivals or 247Sports. According to MaxPreps, Atkins logged an eye-popping 218 tackles, including 28 for loss and 8 sacks, in his sophomore season. Highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
