Mizzou RB Damarea Crockett gives update on his tailbone injury
Mizzou RB Damarea Crockett had a good game against South Carolina on Saturday, even though he only carried the ball twice in the second half.
Still, he managed 18 carries for 97 yards in the 31-13 loss to the Gamecocks, and the Tigers’ offense certainly missed him when he went out with an injury.
That injury was a bruised tailbone, which was painful enough to keep him out for most of the second half. However, the talented sophomore was back at practice on Tuesday and said he feels back to full strength:
#Mizzou RB Damarea Crockett (bruised tailbone) Said he practiced today, felt 100%. X-ray showed no damage, just a bruise.

So far this season, Crockett has 36 carries for 299 yards and two touchdowns — some of the best numbers of any SEC running back.
As the Tigers prepare to host Purdue this weekend, they’ll need Crockett to be at full strength so that they can try to bounce back from last week’s disappointing loss.
