After 4 seasons at Missouri, Simi Bakare will look to continue his college football career elsewhere.

On Friday, Bakare entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Bakare joined Mizzou in 2018 and played in 32 games over 4 seasons. He recorded 19 carries in his career, all coming in 2018 (11 carries) or 2019 (8 carries). As a freshman, he scored the only touchdown of his Tiger career.

If Bakare finds a good fit for graduate courses, he could play 2 more seasons of college football. He only played in 2 games this past season, meaning he can take a redshirt. He can add another year as 2020 does not count against players’ NCAA eligibility due to the unique COVID-related circumstances of the season.

An Austin, Texas native, Bakare had scholarship offers from Mizzou, Tulane, Central Arkansas and Stephen F. Austin as a class of 2018 recruit.
