Mizzou signs talented 4-star ILB out of Georgia, beating Tennessee, South Carolina and others
In order to stay competitive in the SEC, the Missouri Tigers are going to have to land some big-time players out of talent-rich states like Georgia and Florida.
On Wednesday, they did just that, as 4-star ILB Jamie Pettway signed with the team during Day 1 of the early signing period, choosing the Tigers over teams like Louisville, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and others.
As you can see below, Mizzou’s official recruiting account announced the news on Twitter:

Per the 247Sports rankings, Pettway is the No. 18 inside linebacker in the class of 2019 and the No. 29 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
Prior to Wednesday, the Tigers had the No. 41 class in the nation and the No. 13 class in the SEC, per 247Sports, but those rankings are likely to change after Wednesday’s additions to the class.
