Mizzou softball caps dominant regional weekend with no-hitter from Jordan Weber
It was a dominant weekend for Mizzou softball and pitcher Jordan Weber capped it punishing fashion on Sunday with a win over Iowa State.
No. 8 Missouri won 5-0 and the Tigers will advance to super regionals for the first time since 2016. Mizzou will play James Madison in the super regionals. Missouri won all three games this weekend and outscored its opponents 17-0 by allowing just two hits in 20 innings.
Weber struck out six and walked just two for the fourth no-hitter in program history. It was also the first postseason no hitter for Mizzou since Chelsea Thomas did it in 2011.
She got plenty of help too, including this diving stop from shortstop.
