Mizzou stiff-arms Texas for 2016 safety commit

Three-star defensive back DeMarkus Acy announced a verbal commitment to Mizzou on Monday via his Twitter account:

I have decided today to commit to the University of Missouri #WelcomeToTheZou pic.twitter.com/yFeGmJZhep

Acy’s from Dallas, Texas and was thought to be a Longhorns lock. Acy’s commitment brings Mizzou’s 2016 class to 15 players, a group currently ranked 47th nationally per 247Sports.
