Mizzou to wear new-look ‘script’ helmets against Abilene Christian on Saturday

Missouri threw it back to the past in its last game as it took on Kansas State, once an old Big Eight/Big 12 rivalry.
That game didn’t go so well as the Tigers were rolled 40-12 by the Wildcats. Eli Drinkwitz’s team will hope things go better on Saturday as they face Abilene Christian, a game they should be easily favored in.
And while the previous game had a throwback theme, the Tigers’ helmets against their FCS foe have a bit of an old-school look. Take a look at them below, courtesy of the Mizzou football Twitter account:

The script “Tigers” logo has a bit of a vintage feel, but the uniforms themselves keep with the more current threads we’re used to seeing from Mizzou.
Meanwhile, the game itself will be shown on SEC Network+. Kickoff is set for noon ET.
