Mizzou uses incredible fake punt to open scoring against Kentucky

Missouri got punched in the mouth early against No. 24 Kentucky Saturday night. Then they got punched in the mouth again thanks to Kentucky’s strong run game.

But there’s a reason football games are 4 quarters. With all the momentum going Kentucky’s way, Eli Drinkwitz dialed up a daring fake punt attempt.

And it worked. Punter Luke Bauer, all things considered, threw a great ball to Marquis Johnson, who high-pointed it and walked in for the score.

So, when do the Luke Bauer Heisman votes start rolling in?

Mizzou has played considerably more confident since this score, too. The Wildcats were forced to punt the following possession and now the Tigers are driving and looking to tie the game up after a truly dreadful start in Lexington.
