Mizzou wins right to host Braggin' Rights basketball game vs. Illinois
The annual Braggin’ Rights game between Missouri and Illinois was in question due to schedule alterations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it was announced on Wednesday that the game would be played after all. Instead of being played at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, though, the two schools agreed to move the game to an on-campus site with the host determined by a coin flip.
That coin flip—courtesy of college basketball analyst Andy Katz—took place on Thursday, and as you can see below, the Tigers won the toss. This year’s game will be played at Mizzou Arena in Columbia on Dec. 12.

This will be the 51st time the Tigers and Fighting Illini have met on the hardwood. Illinois leads the all-time series 32-18, but the Tigers have won the last 2 meetings, including a 63-56 victory on Dec. 21, 2019. Their win on Dec. 22, 2018, broke a 5-game Illini winning streak in the series.
Missouri, who was picked by the SEC media to finish 10th in the conference, opens its season on Nov. 25 in Columbia against Oral Roberts.
