The New York Giants signed former Mizzou LB Cale Garrett to a reserve/future contract back in January of this year.

Garrett went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, spending time with the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings last season, but not appearing in any NFL regular-season games.

Now, he’ll be looking for another squad ahead of the 2021 season, as Dan Salomone of Giants.com revealed that the Giants had waived Garrett in order to sign DT Willie Henry on Wednesday:

During Garrett’s career at Mizzou, he was a key cog in the Tigers’ defense. In 4 years, Garrett recorded 291 total tackles (26 for a loss), 5 sacks, 6 interceptions and 3 total touchdowns.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen.
