Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock has been in-and-out of his starting role this season, battling injuries as the 2020 campaign has moved along.

The latest knock came in the Broncos’ 37-12 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, and NFL insider Adam Schefter provided an update on Lock’s status moving forward.

“Further testing revealed that Broncos’ QB Drew Lock has a ‘pretty severe strain and bruising’ but no fractured ribs, per source” Schefter tweeted. “He will be day-to-day, but it is uncertain if he will be recovered to start Sunday in Miami.”

Lock has had a difficult season on the injury front, holding back his sophomore campaign. Playoffs are not likely for the 3-6 Denver Broncos this season, but hopefully the former Mizzou star get continue his development at the NFL level next week against the Saints if he is unable to return against the Dolphins.
