The dumbest trend in college football struck again on Friday afternoon in Columbia.
Mizzou RB Ish Witter, in the process of scoring an easy touchdown, complicated matters by foolishly dropping the ball before he was across the goal line:

Fortunately for Witter and the Tigers, WR J’Mon Moore happened to pick the ball up before it rolled out of the back of the end zone.
What should have been an easy touchdown for Witter became the easiest touchdown of Moore’s career. Witter should give Moore a big hug on the sideline for saving him from further embarrassment.
Crisis was temporarily averted for the Tigers, but they’re going to need some defensive stops if they’re going to close the season with a victory. They currently trail the Razorbacks 14-7 late in the first quarter.
For Mizzou’s sake, here’s hoping Witter manages to hang on to the football for the rest of the game.
