It hasn’t been a great week for the Missouri Tigers. Even after star freshman Michael Porter Jr. returned to the court, the No. 5 seed Tigers couldn’t beat No. 12 seed Georgia in the SEC Tournament on Thursday.

Now, they’re dealing with an arrest, as it was reported on Saturday morning that senior F Jordan Barnett spent the night in police custody.

According to PowerMizzou’s Gabe DeArmond, Barnett was arrested by University of Missouri police on Friday, although more details were not provided at the time:

Shortly thereafter, though, MUPD released a statement saying Barnett was arrested for suspicion of DWI:

Mizzou released a statement about Barnett, saying it is aware of the incident, but that no comment will be made at this time:

For a team that is already sweating out Selection Sunday, this is just more bad news that could have been avoided.

Barnett is averaging 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season and is an integral part of the Tigers’ offense.
