Report: New Mizzou coach may add former Oklahoma offensive coordinator
Barry Odom is building his staff at Missouri. And he could be interested in bringing in a former Oklahoma assistant as his offensive coordinator.
Odom is reportedly considering hiring former Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel.

As several others have reported, I’m hearing Josh Heupel as a prime candidate for Mizzou offensive coordinator job.

Heupel was Oklahoma’s co-offensive coordinator from 2011-14, and served on Bob Stoops’ staff from 2006-14. During his time at OU, he mentored Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and helped the Sooners win four Big 12 championships.
He spent this season as Utah State’s offensive coordinator. The Aggies are averaging 29.7 points per game.
As a player, Heupel quarterbacked Oklahoma to the BCS National Championship in 2000. He was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy that season, behind Florida State quarterback Chris Weinke.
Odom was hired as Missouri’s new coach on Friday.
