When it comes to on-the-field talent, there’s no question that former Mizzou defender Aldon Smith was one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.

However, his off-the-field issues led to him being suspended from the league in 2015. But, now, things seem to be changing.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Smith — who is now with the Dallas Cowboys — was reinstated by the league on Wednesday and is now able to take part in the Cowboys’ offseason problem:

Smith recorded 19.5 sacks for the San Francisco 49ers back in 2012 and has 47.5 sacks in his career thus far.

He’s been out of the league since 2015, though, so how effective can he be? We’ll find out this fall, it seems.
