Barrett is from Edmond, Oklahoma. He’s getting an early jump, however, on moving to the Show-Me State. In May, Barrett announced that he would be continuing his high school career at the Link Academy in Branson, Missouri.
Listed at 6-4, 180 pounds, Barrett is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 player in the state of Missouri, No. 13 combo guard and No. 93 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. During his recruitment, Barrett also picked up offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Oral Roberts and others.
Barrett is Mizzou’s first pledge for the 2024 class. Gates signed 3 prospects out of high school and 5 transfers in the 2023 cycle.
