Another one: Fifth Missouri player has entered the NCAA transfer portal since team's NCAA tourney loss
The defections are piling up in CoMo as Missouri has now seen five players enter the transfer portal since the team lost to Oklahoma in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
The latest player to enter the transfer database is junior guard, Torrence Watson. The news of Watson’s decision to enter the portal was first reported by Verbal Commits.
A native of St. Louis, Watson started only six games in his three seasons in Columbia and made only one start during Mizzou’s most recent two seasons. He averaged 1.8 points per game this season and 4.8 points for his career.
Following this news, Watson joins Xavier Pinson, Parker Braun, Mark Smith and Ed Chang as Mizzou players to hit the portal this offseason.
Smith has already announced he plans to continue his college career at Kansas State.
