Big news out of Columbia on Thursday as Missouri just picked up a commitment in the 2021 recruiting cycle from one of the top in-state prospects.

Eli Drinkwitz’s program continues to prove it can hang on the recruiting trail in the Southeastern Conference as the Tigers have landed a pledge from St. Louis native and four-star prospect Travion Ford. Following this news, Ford is the highest-ranked recruit to commit to Drinkwitz during the coach’s brief time in Columbia.

The Lutheran North product is rated as the No. 8 weakside defensive end in the country, Missouri’s No. 3 overall prospect and a top 150 recruit nationally in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Missouri’s 2021 recruiting class now features seven total commits and ranks as the fifth-best class in the SEC heading into the month of May.

Credit Drinkwitz and his staff for keeping prospects home during this cycle as five of Missouri’s seven commits hail from Missouri.
