Though coach Vic Fangio doesn’t seem to be a big fan of former Mizzou QB Drew Lock, the Denver Broncos rookie got some work in the team’s first preseason game on Thursday night.

He didn’t complete a pass in his first series, but on the second series, he got his first pro connection under his belt.

As you can see below, Lock rolled out to his left on a bootleg and connected with a receiver for a first down:

Lock has struggled for most of the night, but this is only the first preseason game of the year. He’ll get plenty of work this summer, so we’ll see if he looks better at the end of training camp.

The Broncos currently lead the Falcons 7-0 late in the second quarter.
