WATCH: Former Mizzou QB Blaine Gabbert suffers painful shoulder injury during preseason game
Former Mizzou QB Blaine Gabbert is now with a new NFL squad and will spend the 2019 season as Jameis Winston’s backup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
However, on Saturday night, in a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, Gabbert suffered a painful looking shoulder injury.
As you can see in the video below, Gabbert was scrambling and dives face first, landing awkwardly on his left shoulder:

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Gabbert suffered a separated shoulder on the play. Rapoport adds that coach Bruce Arians didn’t have much sympathy for his backup quarterback:
#Bucs backup QB Blaine Gabbert dislocated his non-throwing shoulder in last night's preseason game, though coach Bruce Arians said he told Gabbert, “ ‘Good thing it's not your throwing shoulder. You'll be all right.' "

Gabbert may end up missing next week’s preseason finale, but we’ll have to see if he misses any time beyond that.
