As he makes his case for a spot on the Houston Texans roster, Damarea Crockett is showing that he is a tough ball-carrier to bring down.

The Texans turned to the undrafted free agent out of Missouri to punch it in from just outside the goal line in preseason action Thursday night. As you can see in the video below, the Green Bay Packers defense gets to Crockett early, but the former Tigers running back powers through to score the touchdown.

Crockett’s hard running has impressed Houston coach Bill O’Brien. He’s pushing for a backup running back role and to make the 53-man active roster, an impressive feat for a rookie after going undrafted.

Crockett has Houston’s only touchdown of the night so far on six carries for 24 yards. Green Bay leads 14-10 in the third quarter.
