The 2023 NBA Combine has come to a close, which means the 2023 NBA Draft is just around the corner. The 2-round event will take place in Brooklyn on Thursday, June 22.

Several SEC players are in the mix to be Round 1 picks, and in CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone’s post-combine mock, there are 5 SEC guys in the first 30 selections.

As you can see below, Boone has Alabama star Brandon Miller moving into the No. 2 spot, going to the Charlotte Hornets to lead the way for the SEC:

  • No. 2 — Brandon Miller, F, Alabama — Charlotte Hornets
  • No. 11 — Cason Wallace, G, Kentucky — Orlando Magic
  • No. 12 — Anthony Black, G, Arkansas — Oklahoma City Thunder
  • No. 20 — Nick Smith Jr., G, Arkansas — Houston Rockets
  • No. 29 — GG Jackson, F, South Carolina — Indiana Pacers

Can any other SEC players work their way into the Round 1 mix? We’ll see if there are any teams that shuffle their draft boards a couple more times before the big night on June 22!
