The NBA ratings game has been a mixed bag with an overall downtrend occurring for several years now. The NBA received a nice gift in an incredible conclusions to the Bucks-Nets series this past weekend with both game 6 and game 7 being thrilling matchups with top-tier talent. The Bucks-Nets Game 7 overtime thriller delivered a stellar ratings number in today’s television climate.

According to SBJ’s John Ourand, the game did 6.906 million viewers. While it’s a good number, it’s relatively small compared to other games in the recent path.

The game 7 overtime game of the Nets-Bucks series saw both team’s stars deliver and then some. Giannis Antetokounmpo played 50 minutes and scored 40 points along with 13 rebounds. On the other side, the Nets’ Kevin Durant played 53 minutes and delivered 48 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Just all-time performances by the two stars.
