The 2022 NBA Draft is coming up in a little over a month. It will take place on Thursday, June 23, in Brooklyn.

Between now and then, we still have a deadline for players to remove their names from the class and return to school (June 1) and the upcoming NBA Scouting Combine.

But, on Monday, CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone put together his latest mock draft, and as you can see below, he has 6 SEC standouts going in Round 1:

  • No. 4 — Jabari Smith Jr., F, Auburn — Oklahoma City Thunder
  • No. 5 — Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky — Indiana Pacers
  • No. 7 — TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky — Sacramento Kings
  • No. 15 — Tari Eason, F, LSU — Charlotte Hornets
  • No. 24 — Kennedy Chandler, G, Tennessee — Milwaukee Bucks
  • No. 29 — Walker Kessler, C, Auburn — Memphis Grizzlies

Smith at No. 4 is a pretty low projection, as many analysts have him firmly in the top 3. Some even have him going No. 1 overall. We’ll have to see how things shake out over the coming weeks leading up to the draft, though.
