Fans, media rip TNT for annoying drone at Celtics-76ers game

Broadcasts for sporting events have continually added more and more features to try and make viewings more exciting for fans. During Wednesday’s broadcast of the NBA Playoffs, TNT took things up another level.

Despite playing indoors at Boston’s TD Garden, TNT utilized a drone to broadcast certain video portions of the game. The idea sounds like a cool one in theory, but the practice itself did not produce optimal results, to say the least.

Many fans slammed the actual footage for its poor video quality while others harped on the idea of a drone flying inside the arena as distracting for those actually in attendance. Either way, it doesn’t look like this method is picking up serious traction for future usage.
