PrizePicks is the place to be for tonight’s NBA Cup final between the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers in Las Vegas.
The stars should shine bright in this game, as both sides have been very open about how much they want to win the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.
Make sure you’re in front of a TV tonight at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on ABC or ESPN2 to watch what should be a high-scoring, thrilling battle between 2 of the top teams in the NBA. Will the Lakers be able to slow the Pacers down? Or will the young Pacers run the veteran Lakers into the ground by the fourth quarter? Anything can happen in Las Vegas!

My Picks for Lakers vs. Pacers
LeBron James, Lakers: Higher than 29.0 points
LeBron has not looked like a guy who turns 39 years old at the end of this month during the NBA In-Season Tournament. He has turned back the clock, scoring 30+ points in each of his last 2 games. While it might make sense to fade him in this spot, I prefer the opposite against an Indiana team that doesn’t play a ton of defense. He’ll put together one more heroic effort, scoring 30+ points before falling back to earth a bit when the regular season resumes next week.
Anthony Davis, Lakers: Higher than 40.5 points+rebounds
Davis didn’t need to do much in the Lakers’ blowout win over the Pelicans in the semifinals, so he didn’t. The game was out of hand early, so Davis was able to conserve some energy. Now he should be fresh and ready to roll for championship game tonight. Add in the fact that the Pacers don’t have much size and it should be a huge performance from AD. We like him to go for 41+ points+rebounds against Myles Turner and company.
Tyrese Haliburton, Pacers: Higher than 46.5 points+rebounds+assists
Haliburton has been refreshingly open about how much he wants to win this tournament. He said he’s never won anything big in his basketball career. Well, here’s his chance. He’s been dominant throughout this tournament, posting 49 points+rebounds+assists against the Celtics in the quarterfinals and doing it again against the Bucks in the semifinals. He’s got 1 more game of 47+ points+rebounds+assists in him tonight to finish this NBA Cup off strong.
