My Picks For Thursday’s NBA Playoffs Action
Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks: Higher than 0.5 points
Yep, easy pick. Brunson has struggled shooting against the 76ers, sure. But he has still scored at least 1 point in every game he’s played this season. The Sixers can try as hard as they want, but Brunson will score a point, likely before the first quarter is even halfway over.
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets: Higher than 50.5 points+rebounds+assists
The Nuggets just ripped the Lakers’ hearts out with Jamal Murray’s last-second game-winning shot over Anthony Davis in Game 2. I think the Lakers are cooked. This series heads back to Los Angeles with the Lakers trailing 2-0. Jokic, the likely league MVP this season, won’t want to let LA have any momentum. After posting 51 and 57 points+rebounds+assists in the first 2 games of this series, I’ll go with Jokic to have 51 or more again in Game 3.
Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers: Higher than 6.5 assists
Garland has been alternating games with a lot of assists and not a lot of assists, dating back to the regular season. In Game 1 against Orlando, he dished out 8 dimes. In Game 2, he only had 4 assists. With the Cavaliers holding a 2-0 series lead, I’ll take Garland to have 7+ assists in Orlando for Game 3 on Thursday night. These 2 teams don’t provide a lot of offense, but Garland should be able to create enough opportunities for his teammates to score.
How Many Picks Should You Make?
