My picks for Celtics vs. Heat

Jayson Tatum over 0.5 points. This is a no-sweat win. Even when Tatum was having massive struggles shooting the ball in the first half against Philadelphia in the previous round, he still finished every game with at least 1 point. Look for him to at least crack the 20-point mark on Friday night in what has become a must-win game for the Celtics.

Derrick White over 12.5 points+rebounds+assists. White saw his minutes decrease to under 20 per game in the final 2 games of the Philadelphia series. But in Game 1 against the Heat, he played 21 minutes, notching 11 points, 2 rebounds and an assist. He’ll have a few wide-open 3-point attempts in each game while playing alongside shooters like Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Brogdon and Al Horford. If he can knock down 2 or 3, he should eclipse this points+rebounds+assists total.

Max Strus over 16.5 points+rebounds+assists. Jimmy Butler can’t do it all, even if it does seem like that at times during the playoffs. Strus showed he’s a capable sidekick in Game 1, finishing with 15 points and 3 rebounds in Game 1. With the Celtics likely paying even more attention to Jimmy Buckets on Friday night, I expect Strus to have a similar, if not better, output.

How many picks should you make?

Sleeper uses a dynamic multiplier system for its picks contests. Some over/under picks have a higher multiplier than others based on how likely they are to occur.

Still, the general idea is that the more correct picks you make, the more money you can win!

As you can see below, combining the picks I described above pushes the multiplier to 5.29x, which pays out $26.45 on a $5 entry:

If you want to play it a bit safer, you could always take White’s portion of the contest out and make it a 2-way entry with Tatum and Strus that would be around a 3x multiplier. Either way, make sure you sign up before tipoff to take advantage of the incredible Tatum promo offer!
