The NCAA Softball Tournament Schedule started Friday, May 20, 2022, as 64 teams began their quest to reach the Women’s College World Series. Thirty-two of the 64 teams were selected on an at-large basis, while 16 teams were seeded and placed at one of the regional locations.

Now, just 32 teams remain, and it will get narrowed down to 16 teams after Sunday’s regional finals.

Game 1 and Game 2 games were played Friday, and Game 3-5 were played Saturday. The tournament continues Sunday as the final 16 teams will be revealed at the end of the day. The winners will head to Super Regionals.

No. top 16 seeds have been eliminated yet; however, a couple have to win twice Sunday in order to advance to the Super Regionals.

The Regionals are scheduled to be played through Sunday, May 22. The Super Regionals are scheduled to be played Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, May 29. The Women’s College World Series starts on June 2 and finishes June 9th or 10th, depending on how the final 3-game series plays out.
