NCAA Softball: Women’s College World Series schedule (Updated June 3, 2022)

The NCAA Softball Women’s College World Series started Thursday from OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City.

All 8 teams were in action Thursday as the tournament kicked off from The USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium. Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Oklahoma State all emerged winners and advanced in the tournament bracket. UCLA, Northwestern, Oregon State and Arizona all fell to the loser’s bracket and will play again on Friday, June 3. The winner’s bracket resumes Saturday, June 4.

Sixty four teams entered the tournament which began May 20, 2022, and the Women’s College World Series is set to start on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Thirty-two teams were originally selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Softball Committee. Sixteen teams were seeded and placed at one of the 16 regional sites. The regional site winners advanced to a best-of-3 Super Regionals. The winners of the Super Regionals advanced to the World Series.

Where we currently stand

• Texas beat No. 5 UCLA 7-2 to advance in the winner’s bracket. UCLA fell to the loser’s bracket.
• No. 1 Oklahoma beat No. 9 Northwestern 13-2 in 5 innings to advance in the winner’s bracket. UCLA will play again Friday in the loser’s bracket.
• Florida defeated Oregon State 7-1 to advance. Oregon State will also play Friday in the loser’s bracket.
• No. 7 Oklahoma State defeated Arizona 4-2 to advance.
